Just Black

Just Black

Nov 05, 2014

Passage: Judges 20:25-28

Series: Justice Executed

Summary:

This epic Black History series focuses on the hotbed issue of Justice. What is justice? Are race and prejudice still alive in this nation? Does scripture speak to this? Pastor Radcliff starts off this series with a controversial message, "Just Black". He looks at the life of Phinehas in Judges and Exodus and how he seemed to be excluded from certain activities without cause. Is this an ancient case of "just being black"? From there we examined what it means to be helped by God and what do we do historically and scripturally to commemorate what God has done for us? Lastly, in a play on words hidden under theological fundamentals, the question is asked . . . "Was Justice Executed?" As we define who Christ is and what justice is we press further. In the crucifixion of our Savior was justice (the legal concept) executed (carried out), or was Justice (the embodiment of God in Christ) executed (crucified)? February 10, 2013
